Next month, a new video will be released about “Green Infrastructure”, a strategically planned network of high-quality green spaces and environmental features. With around 80% of the EU’s population now living in towns or cities, taking care of the green infrastructure that breathes life into urban and rural habitats has never been more important. Achieving thriving biodiversity is vital to addressing numerous challenges, from climate change adaptation to long-term economic stability.

Young people have been hardest hit by the economic crisis as they often lack the experience and skills to be competitive. Today one in five young Europeans cannot find a job. However the Youth@Work action aims at showing that thanks to their fresh take on the world, young people often have innovative ideas and energy.
Oens Murer is a Danish SME set up in Copenhagen and specialises in the renovation of buildings. The company currently has 16 apprentices and around 20 employees aged between 20 and 30. According to Production Manager, Jens Jacob Paludan, young people possess qualities that are important to the SME and, in return, they are provided with the practical training that will, one day, allow them to take over the running of the company.
