High Representative of the European Union Catherine Ashton is visiting from 19th to 21st May Kenya, Tanzania and the Seychelles. In its foreign relations strategy, the EU is committed to building up a comprehensive engagement in Somalia, with a view to responding to the priority needs of the Somali people and stabilizing Somalia. The EU has concluded transfer agreements with Kenya and the Seychelles to ensure the prosecution and detention of suspected pirates.
